Gamezy Product Discovery and Research

Project Overview:

In this project, I worked on understanding the user demographics, motivations, needs, and pain points of Gamezy, a rapidly growing fantasy sports platform. The goal was to help Gamezy double its user base within the next six months.

Understanding the Fantasy Sports Market:

I started by analyzing the global and regional trends in the Fantasy Sports market, which is expected to reach nearly USD 40.6 billion by 2026. I paid special attention to the Asia Pacific region, particularly India, which is emerging as a significant market for fantasy sports.

About Gamezy:

Gamezy is a skill-based gaming super app launched in 2019. It offers innovative and engaging formats to Fantasy Sports enthusiasts and is available in 8 languages. With over 10 lakh users, Gamezy is one of the fastest-growing platforms in its category.

Problem Statement:

The challenge was to understand the demography of Gamezy users better, identify their motivations, needs, and pain points, and use this information to create a product roadmap that would help Gamezy double its user base.

User Research:

I conducted primary research, including surveys, questionnaires, and interviews, to identify the needs and pain points of existing users engaged in Fantasy Sports. I analyzed the data to create user personas and Jobs to be Done (JTBD).
